Good morning all. I am new to the forum.

I have recently acquired a Defender 110 with the Ford Transit engine. It has done approx 12,000 since new in January. My problem is that I think there is a lot of play in the transmission train but the dealer tells me this is normal for the model. That does not sound right to me so I am wondering if any other forum members have experienced the same problem. There is distinctive clonk on all gear changes.

if you think it doesnt feel right you could always try and arrange a test drive on another and then you would have something to compare to
