jesus christ, I cannot find anything that resembles the radio wiring in the bus...
1999 2.5tdi, DHSE.
you've probably seen this asked a lot.
I have found various schematics on the net and followed various links, that dont work and I am not any where closer to knowing.
the stereo is a alpine AMR6284.
wammers help!!!

I've looks into rave and I cant find anything about"just downloaded recently" just wanted the best from the new stereo without butchering anything on the car. I'm keeping the old radio which works because it's an original part of the car.

Rave for the P38 isnt in colour....

The connections are numbered CXXXX and the connector diagram is available along with a phito location in Rave.

It also tells you which pin it is in the connector and the colour of the wire that goes to it....

It is all in RAVE for you.

Everything is in RAVE. BUT!!!. It depends on what level of radio you have, several different versions were fitted from basic to all singing and dancing. Problem is knowing which you have and therefore which diagram to follow. Counting the speakers may help narrow things down. Look in Electrical trouble shooting manuals. Radio.

Thank you, alpine amr6284. Under what heading in rave please.

You won't get instructions for a particular head unit. Just diagrams and pin connections. If your car has steering wheel controls that narrows it down to High line or Premium unit. High line has amplifiers in the doors and a sub woofer with amplifier. Premium has a DSP amplifier that does everything other than the sub woofer which has it's own amp.

Thanks wammers, its got steering wheel controls. But in what section of rave? I'm currently going through the whole manual just ti find the diagram I think your taking about...

Select "Electrical trouble shooting manuals" then select "Circuit" then "Radio". You will see all the wiring diagrams from low line to premium.

I think, with much ****ed of'ness...the manual I have isn't the same its is in pdf form and is called range rover workshop manual volume 1! Are you familiar with it? It's probably the wrong bloody one...arrfgh. I'll join all the wires together and sing while it burns

Download one from here. http://www.cannell.co.uk/Manuals_Original.htm Just scroll down and you will see it. That is the one i use. When you get it down open the program and select shortcut RAVE logo and send it to your desktop. The one you can get from Landroverresource.com is a pain in the arse to use, more models of Landrover but all NAS stuff so no diesels involved.

Windows 10...it opens the page but its empty. Ok, all I want is the sub woofer connections and to see if I can use the wheel controls as my stereo "Kenwood" all has a wire for the use of. What do you think. Is it possible or should I admit defeat on the steering wheel controls....i bet your fed up of this malarkey

Think you need an electrickery wiz. I don't think the commands on the P38 are standard. Might be wrong. @martyuk knows more.
