Was sure I'd posted about this previously but can't find it.

Since I stripped and reinstalled the interior, the nearside rear speaker has a permanent whine/squeal when the system is powered on. The radio works and it's just that speaker with the problem. Any suggestions?

Fixed it.

Thumped the bottom of the radio.

Must be a dodgy connection/dry joint; will need to strip it and check at some point!

Or door amp, i wasted six months + on all the other options...then i changed the perfect looking door amp, and problem went away...for ever

@domino did you check the white connector plugs in the passenger footwell. One of ours was due to the corrosion was cured with the block removal. ;)
Not yet - was hoping it was the radio itself as the 'thump' fixed it temporarily.

Reckon I'll need to strip those connectors out and solder them though

If the connectors behind the kick panel are green then don't forget to find the source of the leak. I found a seam on the passenger side at about the height of the bottom of the A pillar, which appeared to be weeping To get some RTV on there you either need to have the dash off or put some on your finger, lie on your back in the footwell and smear some on - you need to be a contortionist for the latter  )

I'll now sit back and wait for the innuendo
