I'm thinking of replacing my radio, single din, in an 04 HSE with a Pioneer MVH-AV280BT Double Din Bluetooth Car Stereo.
It should fit according to Halfords, but they wanted as much for the fitting as the cost of the unit itself.
As it has a video facility it needs to have one wire fitted to the handbrake switch so it will not play while you drive.
Has anyone fitted one of these units and is it easy to find the wire to connect it to?
Alternatively is there a better unit without video that people would recommend.
This unit costs £159 but don't really want to spend too much more but would like USB connectivity.
Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't connect anything to the handbrake switch in case it feeds back to the CCU/Instrument pack.
You could fit second switch.

some great ones on Amazon and can also look at the reviews on each and every one

was gobsmacked at what halfords wanted to fit it, imagine u told them to do one as I know I would have, lol

love the pioneer radios , had them for years

Can you not fit it yourself? Its only a few screws to take the centre console and radio out then all you do is unplug and replace with new unit. Make sure you get the correct wiring adapter with steering wheel control if needed.
Also you will need a surround for the new unit.

Halfords will want to fit the handbrake cable as they are obliged to for safety.

I have taken a risk with a relatively unknown brand as i wanted rear screens, tv HU and reversing camera so i got all the same make as it should work together!
