You can buy the connectors from 'vehicle wiring products' at Ilkeston (on line) and the colours should be marked on a sticker on the radio explaining what they are for.
Sorry dont understand about omes hohms or whatever they are, just stick some speakers on the end of the wires:D

You could probably even walk into Halfords and buy the adapter thing. But if you don't want to waste money the easiest option is to get one from a scrappy for a few quid.

Does it have anything useful like the model number of the radio on it? If so post it up and i'll help you out with the wiring stuff.

You'll probably find that you don't need to use all of the pins.

The ones you will need are:

12V perminent (keeps the memory alive)
12V switched (so radio only works when key in ignition)
Neutral
Speaker outputs.

Or you can go with the option of wiring the swtiched 12v to the perminent and just remembering to turn it off.

Generally (though not always) car audio uses 4 ohm speakers, hi fi uses 8 ohm. As long as you use the same for all speakers it shouldn't matter though. But don't use some 8 and some 4 else they won't be balanced!

Round pins, I thought lr used iso connectors which are mini spade terminals (flat pins).
The wiring section in the haynes manual will show you the colour codes if your gonna use a scrapper set of conector plugs.
There is usually 2 block connectors, one is for power and the other is for the speakers, if you have 4 speakers then you'll use all the wires on the speaker socket, you only really need 3 of the connections on the power connector, the others are for side lights, electric aerial etc.
You can use 4 or 8 ohm speakers, both are fine, only you will get more power from 4 ohm ones, which is what the set is designed for, that said little 8 ohm hi fi bookshelf speakers cane be very efficient and make more noise.
