My radio in my l322 stopped working as did my indicators. On advice i disconnected the sat nav player which brought my indicators back into play. My radio works for about 3minutes then cuts off. I know water ingress has caused my sat nav to pack in. Whats my cheapest option just to have a working radio to bypass all the gubbins in the boot?

2002 vouge. The head unit stopped working. It still played but nothing appeared on the screen. Then my indicators stopped working so i disconected the sat nav as advised. The radio works for about 5mins then shuts off. Theres nothing on the screen while it works or not. When i connect the sat nav unit after drying it out, theres nothing at all untill i disconect it again

Is that the first one of the year?

If the Sat Nav got wet, odds on the rest of the Amps and gear got wet too....chiefly the BM54 Amp (Big silver box) and no doubt the video module!....time to pull out the other gear in that corner too and check all the wiring connections for water/damp corrosion etc. and go from there.

I think thats the case. Is there a short cut to a new head unit and bypass or is it a buy some working oem bits

there's a head unit upgrade for the L322 a Chinese made thing that lots of people have done and seems to work well

that's the head unit though, until you get the amps dried and sorted, nothing will work

The best solution for this problem @eddiecos is to get rid and get yourself a P38:p;)

Would that be a P38 Vogue?

Well all audio out the boot. Going to open everything up and look for obvious corrosion. Bought some cleaner. Might as well give that a try first.

Seems a shame to have to do all that work because of design fault... It goes to show that today's cars and regardless of make, are not built to last as long as we would like them to..
Sat Nav? = Mobile phone.
Stereo= decent unit and a rewire.
A touch negative, sorry rant over...

The L322 is an electronic nightmare, worse than that V70:rolleyes:

Hardly any corrosion on the inside of the amp. Bit of crud around some of the plug pins and connector and one pin is loose but apears still to be connected All i can do is give it a clean up and try and secure the in. Reassrmble and move onto the tunner. I know hehaw of electronics but i found a good vid on the tube to give me a chance if a start of where to begin.
