back onto the wiring of my radio..

thanks for the link More Information - ISO and Mini ISO Wiring Diagram
but sadly (and typically) bears NO REALTION whatsoever to the wiring at the back of me new stereo.

Stupidly bought a landy radio cassette thinking it would be an easy job, thinking it would fit my existing minimal radio wiring (purple, white/orange, earth and speakers.

HOW STUPID COULD I BE!!

Course it doesn't - no its got millions of thick round pins at the back and a bunch of teeny tiny pins. Nothink like ISO, nothing like my wires.

Am I going to have to buy a td5 radio loom?

oh the radio is a XQD 000050PMA...

Failing the above, go to Halfords and tell them what you have got and they usually stock all the adaptor looms for most common vehicles.

went to halfrauds and they have the male plug to iso connectors. Unfortunately my radio has male connection at the back.

Apparently I'm wanting a "reverse" adaptor, ie something used to fit non-ISO OEM radios into another brand of car.

Apparently also it's a BMW connection / New Mini but all I can find is normal adaptors, not reverse ones. Well apart from in America.

Would a bmw socket have the same wires in the same places as a land rover one made by bmw? I'd assume and hope so, but this IS land rover.

scrap yard and cut the plug and a good length of wiring out of a bmw/mini wiring harness. then fit the loose wires to an iso connector or wire directly to the landy wiring harness
