radio and climate control stopped working?

I looked at a P38 yesterday and the guy selling said he had to jump start it due to flat battery. It's the 2.5dse now the radio or climate control don't power up or do anything? Checked all fuses any ideas?

Thanks Luke

I have already answered this. Fuse 8 under drivers seat supplies power to relay 7 in BECM, this switches radio and Hevac with ignition. Either fuse is duff/bad connection or he has fried something in BECM.

Hi does anyone have the part number or know where I can get the new relay for the Becm? Thanks

You should be able to get the part number from the top of the existing relay.
I looked at changing the rear window relay and found one here, this was the correct one for the window.

Siemens Relay V23078 C1002 A303 - Car-Relay.com

Don't know what relay is number 7 and I've rebuild the BECM so can't help I'm afraid.

Did take a photo of the relays though

If your stuck, I have been dealing with a guy who has the diagnostic software for the BECM. He talked me through a series of tests.
In the end I stripped the BECM out and tested the window relay with a 9v battery.

Unfortunately I cannot see the numbers or which one is rl7. I've found a previous post with the Siemens number on it. But no one does it. It's been replaced with a tyco. Number and part
They are all industry standard relays, just measure the pin spacings and orientation plus the case size and coil resistance, you will likely find one that will do the job in the Farnel or RS components catalogue. Or look at the part number on the case and Google it.
