R380 oil cooler

Hi, I've been thinking of adding an oil cooler to my R380 (TD5) these are not fitted to Disco TD5 UK models but are in those sold in ROW. I thought it may be useful for summer driving in Spain. Ashcroft Transmissions sell them for £250 (+VAT)

Question: If I got hold of a R380 oil cooler pipe take off bracket from a V12 is there any reason why I couldnt just build an oil cooler much much cheaper from bits on fleabay? Would there be any considerations that I would need to take account of?
