Hi all,
The gearbox's had it and needs to be replaced. (So is the transfer box, the front diff and the front prop shaft has split in half!) In the Workshop manual it says that I need to drain the coolant and remove all sorts of things that seem totally unrelated to the gearbox. Viscous fan, turbo hose, radiator top hose.
Why's all that? My only explanation would be, that the engine may tilt, push the fan through the radiator and bend the hoses. Is that really an issue, or can I safely ignore all that?
