Has anyone used Comma MVMTF Plus 75W-80 in their R380?

Label on the bottle doesn't mention MTF-94, but they do on their website.

MTF94 is a specific Texaco oil ... it's almost as viscous as 75W80 but not quite.
It's made from liquified dinosaurs with some light/mild anti-wear additives.
It's not fully made in a laboratory.
Newer/lower cost/different manufacturer versions are available.

Just to be awkward I use Dexron III which is what Ashcroft suggest although Winchester advise that OEM MTF94 is the way to go... when I pick my new gearbox up from them I will ask the 'whats the reccommended oil ?' question.

There seems to be a few MTF-94's about now, I just wanted some feedback from anyone that's used this particular oil in the R380 - as I have an account with Comma! The proper Texaco MTF94 is horrendously expensive.

Wherever you are getting your gearbox from just use what they say otherwise there could be potential warranty issues if there are any issues further down the line, though saying that we deal with both Ashcroft and Winchester gears and have had no issues with either, ever.
