R380 cant get first gear

looked for info but couldn't find anything. Recent my defender has been difficult to get into first. As of this morning it wont go in a all. Gears are grinding if I try. I started out on 2nd and there is no problems with any of the other gears. And ideas?

Clutch fluid is full and no leaks from the master or slave cylinder. Clutch was replaced 2 years ago and has been running fine up till last week

you could try bleeding the system and change gearbox oil atf 3 works best

grating suggests your baulk rings are worn out

I will try some of the easy stuff first but suspect I may need to open it up. Not looking forward to it
