quick release steering wheels

I have just been told that my Stolen land rover has been recovered. I want to fit a quick release steering wheel so the buggers dont get it again.
Any one done it ? , and could share some experinces , Demon tweeks do a SPA design one , but I would have to weld the boss on , cost £175 inc new wheel , but not the welding.... do I trust this design ... ??

Any feed back welcome on how to stop the do as you likeys taking your hard earned !!!

you are best looking through boy racer forums for advice on them thar funny steering wheels. www.midnightracing.co.uk or something like that is a good one( so i'm told)

good site for spot boys , aint no boy racer , just want to stop the pikeys taking whats mine , any more advice ?

ffs i never said you were a boy racer i just said their forums are probably best for advice on a quick release steering wheel as they all seem to fit them.i agree it is a good anti theft deterant but i doubt all these old landy folk will know anything about them

yes , do you have any help full advice ? , tired demon tweaks, and another that name escapes me , they are a bit vague, not used to land rover equires.

You can get one called Snapoff. I think its made by Momo. You fit it between a momo steering wheel boss and then a momo( or similar) steering wheel. You can by them from potn.co.uk they do the steering wheel boss as well. The momo part number for a 1987- landrover without airbag is 1211511.5607
