Pto Winch Spares

Hi All,

Does anyone hove any pto shafts knocking about for the Superwinch H14, particually the front one that connects to the winch?
I have the fairy pto and shafts which I assumed would fit the Superwinch H14 which apart from the coupling shaft (which is around 3" too short) fits fine.
I have spoken to various breakers with no success, I have also spoken direct to Superwinch who says that the shaft I need has been discontinued.

The shaft from a Td5 will not fit, but the shaft from a v8 or 300tdi will.

If anyone comes across one can you please pm me?

I have been to an engineers the other day who had bored and keyed a pair of yokes for me, he said to make a like for like shaft would be in the hundreds. He suggested lengthening it but couldn't say whether or not the joint would be strong enough.

sleeved repair either welded or fitted with a shear pin should be perfectly adequate?

The shaft is 19mm diameter, what diameter/thickness would you suggest for the outer sleeve?

29mm with a 19mm hole drilled thru it would give 5mm wall thickness

One other thing, the manual says I can have 46m of 11mm wire, goodwinch (via superwinch) says they can supply me with it for £168 + vat + £35 carriage! Can you suggest another supplier that does not require the sale of the winch to fund it?

I've been looking through shi* bay, all there is, is Superwinch branded stuff for £200+ or cheap jap crap. Apart from the standard 100' rope that is.
