Hello to everyone, I have only just joined this site as it seems to be very good. I have got three disco's (greedy or glutein for punishment, you decided) I have had many series landy's in the past and some of them had the pto drive on the gearbox (brilliant). I would like to know if anyone know if they were ever made for a diso?? if not, why not?? and is there another landy gearbox that does have one that will fit a disco?? Hope to hear from people soon regarding this.

the transfer box is the same as a defender and things have been made for defenders but i have only seen hydraulic pumps mounted on discos but this wont work on a discovery 2 with out changing for an early tdi transfer box

Boomer V8 has got a PTO on his V8 Disco 1. other than the PTO its a std R380 box and transfer box.

I believe that a PTO can be retro-fitted to an R380, however the amount of additional work that had been done to the rest of the car in order to get the pto shaft out to the rear of the vehicle is massive;

cross member modified above rear axle, custom fuel tank, rear passenger floor, rear cross member...........is some of what I recall seeing.

Hi guys, thanks gfor your replies. Al I wanted to do is run a hydraulic pump for a winch as I have been offered a rather large one for little money but I think the cost of all the other bits and bobs needed to do it are going to make it too exspensive for me.

Run the pump from the Aircon mounting holes.
