problems putting rock sliders on defender 90

bought some sliders off ebay and the arrived today, after removing god knows how much mud from around all the nuts ont he sills, i got the sills off. just gone to insert the tubing into the body mount to discover that when the chassis was galvanised it has left a few lumps inside the tube. cant even get the tube an inch in.

what can i do to solve this problem.

Attack the tube with a big half-round file.

dont have one

beg, steal, borrow or buy!

or buy a drill and run it down there. dont forget to paint or galv it before fitting. no point in getting a galv chasssis, then taking the galv off, is there?

Use plenty of grease when you assemble the sliders after you've cleaned the galv off .
