problems again! oh yea its a freelander!

Can any one help my freelander is reving high when i stop its high if i pump the brake pedal it also get even higher 4 000 rpm! and revs high at idle!
any clues! please!

i would say its an air leak, maybe inlet manifold gasket or servo pipe

yea cant seem to find a leak tho if i rev the car it seems to selttle down to 1100 rpm? i need a smoke pro LOL

yea i know! seem to had cured it for now! think it had some crap in the inlet butterfly!

Had same problem on our 1.8 was buterfly valve replaced it with a metal one from the rover car range fixed problem and ran a lot better.
