Hi there, (1984 LR90)
The N/S/R side light does not work, However when I use the N/S indicator, all the N/S/R lights including the Side light flash Dimmly.

I have removed the side light bulb and can not get a voltage at the lamp terminals when the side light is switched on, it looks like there was once a tow bar on this vechile as there are loose wires that have been cut tied up beneath, near the rear cross member.

I kind of think the lights flashing when the indicator is on, may be an earth problem, but how do I sort out a feed to the side lights?

Regards

Thanks for that reply, and sorry its taken so long to get back to the forum, I have just got hold of the color coding for lucas sheet so I can do take another look at the wiring.

Hi Folks sorry its been so long, ok, just thought I would let you know how I resolved the side light problem. At the rear beneath the light wiring cover I broke into the side light wiring to confirm if I did have a feed, I found that there was no feed to the light unit when the side light was onn, I spent a while trying to trace back the wiring but got fed up and decided to just splice the N/S side light Feed ( red wire) with the O/S side light feed. No sooner had I done this when the side light worked fine. I routed the wiring under and alond the rear cross member.

I also cleaned up all the earth connections and added a further earth conection to the light set up at the rear.

The one downside to spicing the rear side lights as one, is that, as you all know on the Landy the N/S and the O/S side lights are fused separate, so if the fuse goes both my rear side light will go out. Something I can live with.

Hope this helps someone out there.
cheers
