Hi I have had landrover series 3 88, I did a engine conversion last year from a 2.25 to a 2.5 petrol, I had the engine rebuilt, a year later I have had the engine misfiring, spluttering, loss of power it normally happens under load, but sometimes at low and high speed, I have changed the distributor to an electronic distributor, changed the leads, plugs, coil, it had a new wiring loom. We've had the fuel pipes, carb and fuel tank cleaned. Came up fine in the compression test. Running out of idea's, it does have a mechanical fuel pump of a 2.25, could it be vapour lock, although it does the same in LPG.
Any ideas would be great.
