Problem Starting Petrol Freelander

Just bought a w reg petrol freelander and it has started having starting problems
1. It will start from cold no problem if you stop it and try to start it again it will not turn over.
2. If left for about half a day it will start no problem.
3. Have fitted new battery.

Dont know what else to try has anyone experienced this before or has any ideas. Pleas help.

It looks like the cam sensor. Have a search, it had been discussed before

When you say... not turning over, are you saying starter motor isnt doing anything?

Could be faulty (-ve) connection on the starter, remove spade connector and give it a bit of a clean.

Thanks for your advice, searched rest of forum as mentioned and everything points to the cam sensor, will also clean the earth up today, will let you know how I got on Thanks again for your advice.
