Hi Guys,

This is my first of hopefully many posts so hi to all!

:)

I have a snag with a 2003 TD4 not starting very well.
Basically on a morning (or after shes been stood for a few hours) when turning her over she takes a long time to fire (about 10-15 secs sometimes) and occasionally not at all.

I have replaced the glow plugs and the plug relay, continuity checked wiring from relay to plugs, all the fuses and other relays I can see from the lecky diagrams that might have an effect and its still the same?

The pre-heat seems to be working ok, I have also grounded one of the plugs and crossed 30 and 87 terminals from the relay wiring plug position and they glow fine.
Weirdly though after letting them heat for about 10 secs this way (after shes cooled down) and trying to start her its still the same, the first time takes 10-15secs then after roughly 3mins running next time and every other time (whilst warm) is about 3 seconds turning over to start her.

Is there anything I am blatantly missing and something other that could cause this?
Oh probably nothing to do with this snag but ill mention it any way is that she smokes a fair bit on startup.

Cheers in advance
