Hi all,
I recently got myself a Series 3 109 Ex-Military General Service model (1979) and want to replace the existing NATO hitch with a regular civil tow ball, which needs to come about 11 inches (30 cm) lower.
I have been looking at the Dixon-Bate models but it seems to be difficult to select the correct model and I'm not getting a response from the manufacturer so far. It seems that the lightweight version (which is the only model in the ex-military versions) will not come down low enough to the ground.
Any experience with the 109 GS model in this regard? Any advice is much appreciated!
