Hi, just had my driver door mirror bust by some passing truck. 1996 p38. Iv'e got a replacement but it has a 10pin connector instead of the 6 pin thats on. Can I take the 6 pin off the old mirror and solder it to the same colour coded wires on the replacement, and make safe the surplus wires and still have everything. In other words is the harness the same colour code doing the same job with extra's providing later spec functions or something different altogether.
