Power folding mirrors.

Hi all.

Recently purchased a 2004 TD4 Sport with power folding mirrors. Vehicle needs some TLC and one of the issues is that the folding mirrors are 'slipping' when folded in/out. Ironically the offside slips in the closed position and the nearside slips when folding them out. Is there a fix for this other then buying a full replacement mirror and housing etc.


Any advice/guidance would be gratefully received.

Have you tried the search function ?

there is deffo a fix, it's on here somewhere, involves a little tightening of something but can't remember the details.

didn't affect me at the time so didn't pay attention BUT search and ye shall find

Had a quick look using "power folding mirrors" but related more to complete failure of mirror folding a to the 'slipping' I'm experiencing, but will try again.
