Hey everyone, been doing some research on landrovers and I'm thinking of getting one for the summer.

I've inherited 4 alternators from an old storage unit and although I have confirmation that they are for defenders, they all vary, how do I identify whether they are for a certain model? I'll be keeping one as a spare if I get the compatible model so I'm just curious.

I'm not that daft mate, I've contacted that company but as the part is 2009 they currently don't have a record of what it's for. The other one is a confirmed Land Rover one but offers very little details online, only details are of an existing ebay listing.

Thanks for the really helpful response though ;)

3 are the same design.
Not seen these type on a Landrover.
Was the previous owner of the unit into tractors/diggers/plant
Thanks

30 seconds of duckduckgo and the bottom 3 are potentially YLE10088 matching the Magnettie Marrelli A127, 72 amps for a V8, top one doesn't look anything like any alternator I've seen on a tratter or a series, looks more like a ford tractor alternator.

I thought they were for Cummings?
But not up to date any more on plant engines.
Just confused me why they are shielded on the back.
