evening all, anyone have any ideas on this problem please?... am currently getting a intermittent central locking prob the key fob is not working every now and then. I have had the ecu de-immolised and have replaced the receiver in the roof. it was working fine earlier and just been out to unlock and its not working again!! could this be a bcu problem or a wire as some else suggested on here before? its cost me £300 so far trying to sort this and still the same issue, I need asap as its my daily driver and I just started new job and keep having time off to try and sort.

Hi. Is it doing that with both fobs? if you have only one fob which you can't rule out it's a bit premature to blame the BCU...anyway you need a dedicated tester to diagnose that as to run a RF circuit test with it or you can modify settings as to make it driveable when it's unlocjed with the key, a BCU fault would make you more trouble than that IMO... did you remobilise the vehicle using the EKA code?

hi, I only have the one key. the immobiliser is dead so I can still start the car even with the alarm going off. it works most of the time but then stops like it has no signal hence I changed the receiver in the roof. the rear sun roof is now sealed and have changed the battery in the key fob. some one else posted something about a wire in 2015 going from the key receiver to the bcu being the problem but didn't state which wire it was or the colour or how to test if its a dodgy connection?

Untill the fob is not 100% ruled out with a good second one IMO it's a nonsense to chase presumptive wiring issues just cos it happened to someone else 3 years ago especially that it's not common while failing microswitch in the fob is very common so if you dont want to buy a second fob which IMO is compulsory anyway change the microswitches in the existing one maybe you win this lottery

microswitches? lights etc working on the key. I will be buying a new one but have only just bought vehicle about a month ago. it worked numerous times in a row and tonight its stopped again.

When it stops working unlock/lock with the key without opening the door and try then with the fob... if it works this way we'll speak then if not i'll tell you which wires to check provided you have RAVE cos you need the connector views

hi tried this and no joy. i tried unlocking at break at work it wouldn't work then went back at lunch and it worked i didn't disconnect battery etc. got home locked ok went to go out and nothing. I do have rave here.

First of all you have to check the receiver's earth connection and i also hope it was new not some used in so called "good working order", if it was not new you might check continuity in vain but if that's how you want to work i'll tell you but i need to know if the vehicle is facelift or not

also front heated wind screen works but back one doesn't I'm hoping its wiring!

Wiring issue are usually not so intermittent, and what if when you check the continuity it will be closed like when it works? ... a suspect place is C0102/0484 the PS and BN wires are to the receiver - BCU see if there's no corrosion but i say again if the receiver is niot new all that work can be in vein the HRW circuit is on the other side from the fusebox

I dont understand what you mean...that connector is between the BCU and the receiver on the same colour wires from BCO to C0484 and from C0102 to receiver... though if you have no clue with electrics please dont make me dig through the diagrams cos i can't explain things to somebody who doesnt understand, i want to help you but i must see that you understand what i'm saying...and dont unplug that connector with battery connected
