I have just got my first discovery, n reg v8 auto with lpg which is a BRC system. Everything is fine, good condition for the age. However, the LPG comsumption is very poor, 90 miles and i have to fill up the lpg. Now, it runs perfectly fine on either petrol or LPG, so am i missing something? are there 2 tanks? what can i do or check or where should i go? any suggestions pls

If you have twin tanks, one of the gas valve solenoid coils might be open-circuit, so you can only access the remaining tank. Coils run continuously while gas is in use, and they are 12V not 14V so tend to run a bit hot.

We changed one of ours a couple of weeks ago.

We get 155 miles with mixed driving out of about 49 litres net gas capacity.
