please help

I have recently got a landrover series 3 pick up 1982, although it runs and drives its not been driven for years, its a real barn find. i was wondering if it was worth doing up or are they worth anything as it is ?

you'd probably spend more doing it up than you would add in value. Post some pics up... you never know you might sell it

If the chassis and bulkhead are sound and the engine and gearbox work without too much noise then it's probably worth keeping. Hydraulics can age badly but are easily and cheaply refurbished. If you aren't bothered about restoring it to pristine original condition it might make a cheap runabout. It'll get you anywhere in almost any weather and you can shop in Tesco without worrying about the odd dink or scratch. And take crap to the tip without messing up the inside of your "nice" car.

All land rovers are worth doing. Not perhaps financially worth it but worth doing all the same.
