I am looking at fitting a pioneer tool set to the rear tailgate of my series. I am currently looking at this set on ebay: link
I am however struggling to work out where all of the brackets in the kit should go as there seem to be more than I can easily identify in pictures pulled form google:

Does any one have fitting instructions, parts manual diagrams, or photos of their tailgate with the brackets fitted with or without tools?
I have contacted the seller and it does not come with fitting instructions, from the ebay picture and looking at similar photos I have matched the brackets up as below:
Blue - shovel
Red - pickaxe head
Green - pick axe handle
yellow - unknown

any help or instruction would be much appreciated before I buy the kit to make sure i am getting the correct thing and it includes everything I will need. Then I will be on the hunt for a set of tools!

I think your yellow marked one may be a spare. I've included a few pics from my tailgate. If you need something more specific, just let me know.

Thank you that is very helpful, your set up is also slightly different to the ones I found online, so I am guessing it doesn't matter too much how it is installed, they all seem slightly different. Good to see that it looks smart on a correctly coloured land rover as well. Where did you get you fixing kit and tools from?

They came on the vehicle, which was restored about 20 years ago. I've owned it for 5 years. The only thing I've done to the tools set is refinish the wood handles and paint the metal parts black. The shovel is a British brand, whose name escapes me at the moment, and originally had some chrome on the interface between the blade and wooden handle. The chrome had perished over the years, hence the black. I do recall that the shovel and pick axe were still available as of 5 years ago. I suspect they still are. I also recall seeing the mounting kits available at Rovers North some time in the not too distant past.

Would anyone have ideas on how to keep the straps tight. They feel as if they might just come undone ???

I did not get around to getting a pioneer tool kit in the end but the straps are the same ones used on a soft top (which I do have) and once they have got wet and dried in position they do not come loose so I cannot see why it would be any different one the tool kit straps.
