I gave into to temptation the other night and have bought myself an '87 RRC V8 with lpg as a winter toy/project. Going to pick it up in a bit and now getting that little bit of excitement I get whenever I buy a new car. :D:D

I'll post piccies later.

ooops my bad, forgot to put piccies up.

I've replaced the exhaust because it had a ridiculously loud thing on it. a few little things to fix like drivers window and get some decent AT's on it then just wait for the snow. :D

Makes me wannanother Classic....they are so adorable!!

Do it, do it, you know you want too:D I've just been blasting around in it and love the v8 burble. need to get the gas system serviced now as it hasn't been done for ages. Got to resist the temptation to sell it for a profit when the snow chaos comes around.

Join the club :) I've got a low mileage/owner '87 Vouge myself, bought 5 years ago. The advantage of a pre late '88 is that there's no VCU to seize & pre '89 models seem to be less prone to rampant corrosion. The lack of A/C is no big deal as (a) the pre soft-dash 'Classic system is very basic anyway & (b) it's one thing less to go wrong. No sun-roof = no leaks which, apart from the inconvenience of damp & saggy headlining, can contribute to the corrosion problems of an already rot prone design. Cloth upholstery (which is very hard wearing on a 'Classic) is warmer in winter & cooler in summer anyway. I'm not a fan of LPG myself, having had bad experiences several years ago on a 3.9.
