Need a new pump - 200TDi.

No issue with using Paddocks or Craddocks, but they only really supply shitpart which I want to avoid like the plague. Equally, LR money will be silly....anywhere else to look for an OEM spec one at sensible money ?

Cheers !

Probably not much wrong with the Britpart ones, and they should do OEM and genuine a well.

Have you looked into getting the old one reconditioned, either at a local place, or sending it off?

No I haven't looked at getting rebuilt working on the assumption a rebuild won't be far off the cost of a replacement ? May have a look at that :)

I don't think the one on my Ninety ever failed. When they went on tractors, I used to take them apart and fix them, just a rotor and a few seals. Unless the pump body was too worn, in which case you have to get new.

Foreign matter was my first thought too, then bearings kaput - but he types faster :)

Have you stripped the pump and had a nosy inside ?

Could be just sludge from degraded PSF has knacked it, no-one ever changes PSF these days, except me.

I would unbolt it and dismantle too. You haven't got much to lose, and it could be a simple fix.

Ere. Mr Turbo, WE change ours too :p ( and brake fluid (etc) ).

:)

Just wondering how many conscientious maintainers that comment would bring out of the woodwork. ;):D

Would be interesting to see a demographic breakdown of such matters. I would guess most of us oldies change the stuff regularly.
But judging by some of the reservoirs I have looked in, there must be sectors of the populace that are not so careful! :(

out of curiosity, may i ask guys plse what the difference is according to engine numbers plse on these pas pumps

many thks :D
