How the F---- are you supposed to know what the parts are on a 21 year old land rover.
I bought a 21 year old 110 double cab which seems to be on a military chassis (due to the front cross member being bolted in not welded). The previous owner told me it had a 200tdi engine but its actually a 300.
The drive train clunks and bangs so I thought Id start my way through it with new UJs and drive shafts, looking at the parts list for Paddocks the need the chassis number, but what of the car is still original and whats new ?
Did the MOD have double cabs 21 years ago, have the axels and prop shafts been changed with the engine.
The previous owner passed away so his widow cant help. Is this the fun (hahaha) of owning a Land Rover or just my fault for buying before I know anything about them?
