Just been to a local place, as my usual two are either not welding or shut due to disagreements.

Needs at least a 3rd chassis, possibly half.

Can't afford a whole.

Getting a quote now.

No quote yet.

Got a safety net, not sure if enough.

May have get loan as cheaper than overdraft.

The place who are quoting are not returning my requests so trying a local MOT place which does welding and hope for the best.

If I do not hear back eventuually I will need to find yet another place

Gooday MJI.....feel your pain. Humiliated at MOT station when they failed mine. Never seen so much yellow chalk under my car. What I could see was bad....but the inside rails which is hidden by fuel tank was scary. Can recommend RAC chassis at Birdingbury. They replaced my half chassis for £1500 which was about par for the course....lot of money but the quality of work really good. Not associated with them in any way......just saying. Hope you get it sorted.
Just checked my bill....was 1/3 chassis.....

I welded my own.... Im no professional welder, but I can grind to good standards... :p

Agree about the chassis between the fuel tank, it can be bad... I had lots to grind out, plate and weld.
