Just been checking out Range Rover clips on you tube, and found at least 4 or 5 clips of P38's catching fire!! Two of them on a motorway and some just parked!! Think im going to get an extinguisher to carry in mine! All seem to start under the bonnet, engine bay fuse box?? :flame:
 
hi wammers just reading on your comment i.e. petrol / lpg fire .well mine is a v8 petrol with multipoint lpg and im now seriously worried, what in your valuable expierence causes this ????? kind regards mozz :confused::confused::confused:

hi mozz its his hate of petrols cos we is faster than tham foooking tractors..lol:D:D
 
there are recalls about em burning ......:flame2::flame2::flame2:

ATF fluid coming out of the dipstick and a coolant leak.......

Petrol = fire risk, LPG = mobile bomb in the case of an accident, that's why LPG powered vehicles are not allowed in many road tunnels in Europe.:eek: Diesel = higher flash point, harder to ignite = much safer.:D

Well seeing you ask me for an expert opinion. I have noticed that petrol and gas tend to catch fire a bit easier than diesel if there is an electrical fault. Maybe that fact has slipped your attention. Also catalytic converters on petrol/gas fired engines glow red hot and are a source of ignition if oil is spilled on them. Diesels don't run hot enough to do that.

bugger must remember to carry a gallon of petrol in my diesel engine bay,there could be hope for mine yet!
 
so have i got this right, only petrols go on fire cos if thats what you disel mongols are saying it phoooooooooooooo. if a fire starts in fuse box it dont fooooking mater what fuel your car runs on, you cars on fire end of..

Very true my large mate but the chances of it getting to be a real bonfire are greater if it ignites petrol or gas fumes.
