My 2000 dse has failed MOT for fuel leak. There is a drip every 1 to 2 minutes from where pressure head meets pump. Does anyone have a step by step guide for the replacement of O ring. TIA

There is a method of replacing pressure head O'ring, but it MUST be done with pump on full cam to prevent piston spacer from falling out. You will need timing adaptor and 0 to 10 mm DTI. Remove manifold. Remove injector pipes. Turn engine clockwise until first cam is vertical. Remove plug from pressure head. Fit adaptor. Fit DTI. Push DTI in until you get two mm reading and lock up. Turn engine slowly clockwise until DTI stops dropping zero it. Turn engine slowly clockwise until DTI reading stops rising. Pump should be on full cam at this point. Remove DTI and adaptor replace plug. Remove two of the four screws securing pressure head leaving two screws opposing each other. Slowly evenly and progressively undo the remaining two screws until the O'ring is exposed. Hook O'ring and cut. Remove one only of the screws, fit lubricated O'ring at one side and replace screw. Undo and remove other screw. Fit and seat O'ring. Replace all screws and progressively and evenly tighten them so that pressure head goes in square. Refit injector pipes refit manifold. Bleed injectors. Job done.
