Hi All, This is my first thread. I hoped I would never have to ask for HELP!
I've committed the immortal sin and let my 2000 P38 H&H sit up the drive for a month, knowing the key won't fit the door lock! Yes, I've kicked myself around the block a couple of time already! I've got the new lock sitting on the back seat, still in its jiffy bag, 'waiting' to be fitted one day! Obviously the battery has gone flat! I've managed to recharge the battery, via the lead to the starter, hoping there might have been enough left in it to remember the remote code but alas there wasn't! I've got the dreaded keycode lockout!
Has anyone managed to 'break' in to one? Is it worth trying a chisel in the lock to try and force it round? Is it possible to 'cut' the handle off and get to the unlocking rod? If I could get a 'coat hanger' to the interior sill button and lift it, would it unlock the door? It wasn't deadlocked when I left it.
Any help or thoughts appreciated!
