P38 key fob electronics question

I’ve been offered a p38 key fob with a blank key; the guy has installed the electronics which was set to his old p38, my question is can the electronics in the key fob be reset to match my p38 so I can use it.

Replacements only come from iirc Huff in Germany, ordered through main steeler. to match your car.

Highly extortionate price then if it has to come through Land Rover.

My one and only working fob decided it didnt like talking to the car every time I put the key in the ignition so only option was new one, as for swinging the best I can do nowadays is on grand kids garden swing and even then have to get someone to give me a push to get me going !
