Hi I have a p38 p reg 4.6 gems ..i did cam covers few weeks ago and cleaned out gunk with cleaner and replace with new gaskets..i replace all parts and now I have idle issues at 2k revs ...brough new breather hoses as was warped and ****ty and brought a new idle control valve ... I cleaned all the gunk out of the chamber and by the butterfly and still same I had it put on a lynx diagnosis and had adaptive values reset and he reakon I have air leak but he sprayed round plenum and couldn' see nothing .... what do I do next do I have it stripped down again and try ..i have tried seeing if there is breather issue the right cover throws it back at u when u pressure it but the left side I can't it feels solid is that ment to do that many thanks Dave

That's a bummer, have tried running it with the breathers disconnected?
If I'm right, if. The breathers are unmonitored air entering after the air flow meter?
Your idle control valve is doing only that and shouldn't affect any engine speed above idle. Have you by any chance damaged a spark plug lead by bending it and breaking it's insulation?
;)
