Hi all :welcome2:
I'm a newbie to the world of Range Rovers. We have a 98-99 P38 and have a problem, the keycode lock out is on and won't go off when the code is put in. I've tried putting the code in many times to no avail.
The lights are not even flashing when each code number is put in, an i've read the manual and checked i am doing it correctly.
The central locking was playing up initially being temperamental and not locking the front doors now an again an now this. I've taken the door panel off an had a look at the lock inside.
What i can see is that a metal rod that goes up to the lock is attached to a plastic bit an then to the back of the lock and there's a spring there, when the key is turned the plastic bit comes apart. I've pushed them back together but it doesn't help.
Do i need a new lock and will it need reprogramming after, the main thing is how easy would it be for me to do it myself????
Thanks for any help in advance.
