Hi,

Any ideas out there ?

Fob 1 just died completely.

Fob 2 loaded with new batteries....resync.....locks all doors perfect.

Press unlock button and just activated locking again.

Tried sync through ignition.........no change
Entered EKA code......still no change.
Tried leaving batteries out of fob to clear memory........no change

Fob 2 is giving out 'lock' signal from both buttons ?

Any idea's ???

Thanks
Rotti

Not sure what you mean by 'swap pads over'

Fob 1 buttons appear dead, only got fob 2 left.

Thanks

Try putting new batteries in fob 1 making sure that the retaining cap is fitted properly and making contact with the top battery. You need the red LED to light when either button is pressed which will show the fob is working. As it's been so long since the batteries were changed, you will probably have to resynch the key and/or try the EKA again making sure that the side indicator repeaters flash an acknowledgement of the input.
Every chance that with the constant pressing of the buttons that the rolling code transmitted by the fob does not match what's expected by the BECM hence the resynch

Thanks for the replies so far.........problem continues.

Fob 1 is completely dead, no chance of swapping buttons.

Where I am now is:

Fob 2 sending 'lock' signal from both fob buttons.
This ocours when the fob is outside the car.

However, when key inserted into ignition barrel, turn key = engine immobilised etc.
then if I press 'either' fob button all doors open and the engine is released....if only it did this outside the car.

So key outside = lock signal.......both buttons
Key in ignition = unlock signal.....both buttons

Tried all sorts EKA / holding door lock in lock while pressing lock button and visa versa.

Getting nowhere

One other where suggestions may arise ; I have my own Rovacom with BeCM onboard
any ideas how the Rovacom could help.
Just getting 12v or GND on relevant page..........nothing to help maybe clear code memory so I could start again..........but then my knowledge of the Rovacom is not that of an expert.

Many thanks

Try this......
Put key in door lock, hold down lock button on fob for a few seconds whilst turning to lock position, release button and remove key. Repeat, only this time press unlock button on fob and hold whilst turning to unlock position.

Worth a try perhaps?????????

Irishrover,

Tried this many times........without luck.

Still giving out lock code from both buttons.

Any suggestions on the use of Rovacom to delete codes held within BeCM so maybe a fresh start might cure.

Otherwise it maybe a 'new' fob giving out separate signals if mine is stuck on same code.

Thanks

Just a thought i had same problem and i pressed the unlock once then put key into lock and turned key to unlock position, removed key then pressed lock (all doors locked and alarm led was flashing) then pressed unlock and it worked deactivating the alarm led too.
