Guys,
I have just PX'd my old 3 door Disco tdi manual for a Range Rover P38 2.5 DSE. I just liked the car and bought it. I must admit, 4 doors, leather, auto and air con is nice, especially with the family.
Now.... as you would expect I got 25-30 mpg with the Disco and get about 20-25 mpg with the RR. No surprise there. If I change again in the future should I go for the same again or the V8/LPG for economy? Most of my driving is stop-start around town every day during the week (I'm an Estate Agent.... I know!) I had heard that it could be a false economy for a lot of stop-start short journeys and that you only really get the economical benefit for the V8/LPG on a run. What's the best mpg I could hope for on a run with the 2.5 diesel?
Any advice please, oh wise ones?
