Hi all

time has come to invest in a new battery have been surviving on a 70a battery but now dying, do I need a 110a battery or better ?car is a weekend use only so stands idle most of the time.

what do you think please ?

thanks

Tony:)

I think you know the answer already! You use the word "invest". Skimp on a cheapo small battery and every time you get an electrical gremlin you`ll be kicking yourself. With a good battery you may avoid some problems,(but not all), with a bad one you just won`t be happy and relaxed will you?

we dont have any real agri dealers in Jersey so will get ripped off about £120 for a decent battery and she's dead now just not turning over dast enought to start.

will see what i can find this week as am over in the UK next weekend for my anual xmas run and windows titnting if i get the beast to start that is or will have to take the Beetle:eek:

thanks

You drive a full size 4wd that probably cost 40 grand new - if the cost of a decent battery is that much of a problem why dont you sell it and buy a Nissan Micra ?

who rattled your cage i drive a 2k old range rover and just asked what was the correct ratting battery to get now the old one is dying.

why get on your high horse ? a simple enoght question to all those in the no me thought

Tony:)

Just looking for a diesel battery myself for my 99 DSE. I can see two choices a 334 type or 664. I have a dying 664 at the moment but the 334 has more CCA. Any recommendations please

No high horse - its still a Range Rover with a ****ty old indirect injection diesel engine that needs a decent battery to kick it up - if £120 is too much to pay for reliable motoring maybe the Nissan Micra with a PP3 battery would be a better bet.

Nah,the down dollar solution is a saucer with half a lemon and two bits of copper wire.:D

thats it i am off to get a truck load of lemons and a shed load of copper wire, will see how much i need to kick a range rover diesel into life, i have a spare 7.5 acres that may be enough. if all else fails i can always bury it.
