I'm struggling to determine exactly which of a number of 'similar' parts is the right one for my car - LR dealer in Luton quotes the LR part number LSTC 3787 but forums and 2nd hand parts dealers offer a variety of very different ones (ANR2242) or STC2783/2788 all depending on the Vin number. OF course all of the paperwork for the car is IN the car, which is over in Luton at present so I'm not even able to determine what the VIN is. However LR assure me that this part is a common part across the whole VIN range for the P38's and are happy to fit a 2nd hand part for me once I've sourced it.
I have sourced several replacements (STC 2783/ANR2242) at a reasonable price but don't want to buy something if it's entirely the wrong part....
any ideas please?
