God its good to have a V8 under my right foot again :)

The starter has been getting very dodgy on my DSE so I whipped it out and transfered the insurance on to the RRC 3.9 for a few days until I get it back, ahh the joys!!

Don't get me wrong, I love my P38 to bits (very important part of RR ownership as its often in bits :p) but the RRC is so charming. Its got an RPI high torque cam and is such a nice drive. I finished work for Christmas today so its guzzling tendencies wont hurt too bad

Thanks to the guys here I sorted out the fueling problems on the 3.9 (cheers 8inaV) so I was confident enough to park up the P38 for the couple of days it'll take for starter. All I need now is snow :D

wish you luck with the rrc, ain,t nothing like the sound of the v8:D:D but a word of caution:eek: you have 2 girls fighting for affection so don,t break your p38,s heart:lvheart-119::5bcheers2:

What was the fueling problem? As I have all sorts wrong with my 3.9 classic at the moment and I would be glad to hear your experience!

hehe :D I had the two of them hooked up the each other as a Kiss and make up session, one good set of jump leads to charge the P38 battery before start up. They're the best of friends:p

hey Gav, its funny mine has never given trouble with the EKA and I've had several flat batteriey episodes etc. I wonder if its turned off?

fett,
I had the coolant and fuel temp sensor plugs swapped and a gummed up stepper motor. Sorting those two out on top of replacing the worn cam/stretched timing chain has it running sweet enough (at least it cured the hot start flooding issues I was having). I suspect my lamda sensors are dead too as it is still running rich/thirsty but at least its running.:D

Had great craic putting it completely broadside on a whim around the estate early the last few mornings (abs and TC are not working at the mo). Its amazing how sure footed the P38 is in comparison (also doesn't have half the torque - one 'advantage' of a DSE:p)
