Hi all,
I am trying to sell my 1993 200tdi disco and not really sure on what I should be asking for it. Wondered if any of you could throw some figures at me please?
It's in alright shape body wise but does have a few problems, eg. front suspension and brake pads.
I have it on at £750 at the moment (and invited offers), which I know is too high but didn't want to put it too low as have done that with a different car before and lost out!
Any ideas would be much appreciated. I know how much they tend to go for when they are all fully working and stuff but obviously will be less for one with problems!
Thanks

If it's in 'alright shape' with brake and suspension issues then I'd look very closely at other places. Sills, wheel arches, inner wings etc etc all rot out and 'issues' will point people to looking closely at these areas and adding up the cost of replacement panels .. bearing that in mind I'd start an auction at maybe £350 and hope for a couple of suckers who don't know what to look for.

Bear in mind that if you describe it on ebay as good condition and I (anyone knowledgable enough) turn up after bidding and find it needing body parts you'd get a 'not as described' strike against you .. ;)

Where are you selling it? Link?

Thank you.
Of course, don't want to rip anyone off!
At the moment I have it on gumtree- 1993 Land Rover Discovery tdi Dorking Guildford used cars for sale
The usual places (boot floor, sills, wheel arches) look okay to me. There is a bit on the top of the rear arches where the parts join, can see it when the back doors are open, very common and i'm sure you'll know where I mean! I don't think its nearly bad enough for MOT fail on that though, but again, I'm no expert. But apart from that it's pretty good and was told that too by a man thinking about taking it in px, I don't know what his opinion was worth but he had quite a poke around it...

Too be perfectly honest with you. £500 tops and that's if the rot isn't too bad. If it's got rot problems Then £350 tops Just paid £350 for my L reg disco with only the tiniest bit of rot in the boot floor & the inner wings corroded It was sold as needing a new turbo. But HG had actually gone. I threw my spare engine in it and it's a runner.
