Hi All,

A couple of years ago I bought a relative tired 1994 hard top Defender 90 300 Tdi; over the past year I have rebuilt the following:
- New wheel bearings on all four corners and resetting end float on front bearings
- Complete overhaul of swivel bearings, seals and CV joints including setting shims correctly to improve steering feel
- brand new springs and dampers on all four corners including new turrets at the front
- New rear crossmember
- new radiator and thermostat
- new brake discs and pads on all four corners

While doing this work I often referred to Landyzone for tips and advice without ever actually posting but I'm hoping now I can help others out as well as continue to learn.

Safe to say after all that work it drove like a dream, and I had a fantastic holiday taking my beloved Defender down to the south of France. It didn't miss and beat or let me down once in the 1000 mile round trip.

Onto a more serious matter....This week my faithful and beautifully originally 300 Tdi has been stolen; I would greatly appreciated it if people could keep an eye for this vehicle. I have informed the police but I know forums like this are often the best way to track down stolen Land Rovers. It was taken from a private car park at my home just outside Reading in West Berkshire, reg; M73 OCK.

Thanks in advance and hope you like the pictures
