hello folks.
Did anyone fit britpart dynamic shocks?i am looking 4 cheapos, there is britpart, monroe, boge.the britpart has a bad reputation but don't know abt brit shocks, the seller recomended them,i rarely take rangie offroad,my concern is reducing wollowing even if i have a hard ride and crashy on uneven terrain.any experiences with the britpart dynamic?my 4 shocks r leaking oil,no knock though, but it feels i am driving a bowl of jellow.lol.

I have the Britpart cheap ones £75 for four and my P38 ride is poor.
But it has a mot and I didnt have £400 spare at the time.....

I fitted four new boge shocks 18 months ago. (about £80.00 for all four from memory)
Quite happy with the ride. Happy with the comfort/handling combo, but I also have Arnott Gen 3 air springs fitted which have better handling qualities than standard air springs.

had a set of the Britpart yellow ones on my 110 they are a firm ride but i thought they were ok, i got them off ebay at a tenner a corner, only had them on 6 months before i sold them and got more than i paid back. changed to terrafirma +5 a lot softer ride more suited to off road stuff, although the gaitors on the terrafirma stuff is crap as it split in the first week of use

So monroe not good, britpart not good, guess i am forced to save more and get a decent set, maybe original one,he wants 165$ for rears and 150$ for fronts.jeez over 300$ for shocks for a 15 years old car.
thanks guys

I fitted a set of Monroe el-cheapo shockers to my Classic, the ride was worse than with the 15 year old worn shockers. I kept them 6 months before I threw them in the bin and bought a set of Bilstein gas shockers which transformed the Classic and highly recommended. Save up a bit longer and buy some descent kit or you'll just be throwing your money down the drain

Fit whatever type you fancy. But do remember that not all cheap ones are crap and not all dear ones are good. As a matter of fact over the years i have found many of the mid range cheaper units give far better value than the more expensive ones, where you pay 50% of the cost for the name. A name that may have meant something years ago, but is of little value now that most things are made in third world countries, with shadow factories making the same product across the road from inferior materials then putting them in genuine boxes. You really don't know what your buying any more.

that is sooo true!!

for example I bought some unitaprt plugs the other day for £1 each, tuned out to be ngk in the unipart boxes.

Thats when it works out the good way round!!!!

Nomally its the bad way round lol

ow boy,now i am more confused,i can't afford expensive ones at least not before 6 months, and rangie is dangerous to drive,my area is filled with decents and hard corners,it is wollowing alot,so cheap ones are not necessary bad according to wammers,i have my eyes on the britpart dynamic, the seller said they r a new technology different than the older britpart, they seem firm when i compressed them with my arms, dunno what to do now....

I'm using britpart shocks. Fitted in April 2008 and I find the ride and damping just fine. As I mentioned somewhere before I'm on Britpart shocks and bags but original rubber bushes because I tried poly first and didn't like them. They made the car very stuttery and harsh over the poor surfaces around here. Overall I'm happy with the britparts on this occasion and will fit them again.
