After off roading yesterday it looks like ive bent the sill, will this affect anything else on the disco? Or cause problems with the floor or anything?

Im getting them all chopped out and box section put in soon, so would this be a case of it bending back down when its done?
Pic attatched sorry about all the mud! Only just finished cleaning yhey underside and outside!

Thanks all :)

Started worrying that I could of twisted part of the body or something, but thinking about it, it should just push back down when I get some box welded in :)

Fat bastid alert!

I jumped on it and bent it back :D

So if it took 2 and half tonnes of land rover falling on the sill to bend up..... then it took ??? of me to bend it back down...

Who ate all the pies....

Welded some plate in mine today n ehile it was a tad bit warm i tickled it back into shape. Gunna make some rock sliders soon me thinks.

I'm looking at cutting whatever's left of mine out, and putting some box section in, that will be the needed sliders sorted, need some tree sliders then :)

new to this so correct me if im wrong. rock sliders & tree slider mount to the chassis off the 2 brackets right? are tre sliders usually the tubular parts that are curved inwards at the end?

I'm Fairly new to it all too, the rock sliders cover the sills, to stop them bending like mine just did, the tree sliders stick out the side mounted either to the sills (what I'll probs have when box section is in) or I think some mount to the chassis, not too sure, but they help prevent your doors and panels being bent in when you hit the side, like if you were off roading through a deep dug out track in the ground and your sliding into the walls of the deep track.

got ya, chearz for that. hopefully going to make mine outta 2inch box with good thick wall section. the guy who owned my disco before me used to go rafting n put it in the wet stuff quite alot so iv had my hands full with cutting & welding but fun & educational

still trying to work out a spec list!!! greenlaning & the odd spot of pay n play hopefully on the cards. got a thread if u fancy checkin out the pics? "newbies first major project (prob not that major!)

good luck with yours anyway mate.
