only one working ket fob

hi
just taken owner ship of 2000 Disco 2 and happy so far, though reading this forum waiting for something to go wrong !

But i do have one small issue the car came with two Key fobs one is working fine the other isn't.

I changed the battery in the non working FOB but still not working.

Couple q's If the battery had been flat for a long time would that make the fob ineffective or do i just need to buy a new one (the key works) if so where is the best place ?

You could try heading to a dealer (or independant) to see if it needs re-matching to your vehicle...

A few minutes on testbook should sort it (or not and you may need a new key).

Where are you based?

When you press either button the LED should flash. If it flashes, but doesn't work, then it needs synchronising to the car. If it doesn't flash, it may well be bug***ed. Not unusual, I'm afraid. they aren't particularly robust. My spare key will always lock the car but needs about a dozen goes before the led flashes and the car unlocks.
