Hi there can anyone tell what would happen if the centre bearing in a Hooks Joint a of the front props hat of a Disc td5 series 2 year 2000 has no pins and spring in it can I still drive it?
I hope this makes sense to someone cheers

You can still drive it if you completely remove the front prop and drive with the centre diff lock engaged. But the prop is not usable in that state!

Not much. But it might be helpful if you re wrote it, and posted it in the Discovery section, instead of the section that deals with Series Land Rovers. Link below.

Just as a passing point of interest, not all Disco 2s can engage centre diff lock, as there is not always a control to do so fitted.
I have no idea if this applies to vehicle sold in Australia or not, but it does to some sold in the UK.
